The photographer's curse...

I find that I am not seen in many of the events of my family's life...because I am usually the one documenting it. This is okay with me, it's part of the job, I suppose. I guess in the end, I have the master copies of the memories that I capture. Take that!

Aidan William joined the party yesterday. 8 pounds 1 oz. of pure baby awesome. He reminded me of my great grandmother...

Dad's don't get enough pop on days like this. So props to my brother-in-law who helped make the little guy...

Aidan joins a family festooned with women. He will undoubtedly seek solace in his uncle Stephen...

Planets aligned?

And for Mica...my Christmas list...

HOPE FLOATS.

Rather impressive evening.

Pho went as a victim for Halloween...

Mica was Medusa...and I would totally risk turning to stone...

I worked a lot this past weekend. The new job has a lot of different challenges to it, but I enjoy the work. I like making dialtone happen. I did manage to ride Sunday, despite working until 4 am Sunday morning. I am pretty sure I rode like garbage, but I still had a good time. The sensor on the camera is dirty as the back of a Mandarin House...so much so that I am not sure that there is enough spot removal power in Photoshop to fix it. I'd like a new camera.

Boo for Boo at the Zoo.

It sucked. It gets worse and worse every year. I wanted to take the kids to something Halloween related since this is not my year for tricks and treats. Garrett was a dragon, though he insisted that he was, in fact, a dinosaur. Anna was Fonzie's date and Ocean was Crystal Lake's favorite son.

Shit for candy.

Garrett screamed like a demon.

I got stuck in a child play obstacle and wanted to kill Mica.

Other than that, it was a blast.

Ocean looking to carve a backwards "O" on someone's face. Oops!

Garrett and Ocean seem like they are meeting to discuss how the neighborhood will be divided under their regime...

Shout! Shout! Shout! Shout at the shitty candy!

Fall break kid watching cluster f@*k!

Anna is fall breaking it this week. However, the daycare people that were watching her are not open today and tomorrow, so I stayed home to spend some time with the kids. Then Anna left to go to her mom's friend's house. Shit.

The weather is lovely, so I just left the backdoor open and let Garrett come and go while I made some lunch. He became quite enthralled with the massive hole my dogs have dug (one of many) in the yard, and I just let him run with it because what good is being a boy if you can't get dirty.

No mudslinging! Dirt is fine, though.

One of the offending parties...

Mica and Ocean slightly overexposed, but they are adorable...

Wear a helmet, faggots.

The park got shut down tonight and my law abiding, helmet wearing ass is pissed off.

I am 33...I don't have much time left for this.

I need the park.

If you fuck this up for me I will beat you.

In the face.

See Spot run...all over my sensor. Ack.

My sensor on this D100 is dirty like a whore near Gypsy Hands after 9pm.

Did some spot cleaning in photoshop on these. Had to. I need to raise some capital to buy a new body. Send money, Mom. Thanks.

Also, I want to change my name to Jens. Mica knows why.

I love some Java. Seriously, I love going there in the morning...

Tim M. pics from Sunday session...

Look, a toy! That no one plays with!

Goddamn...I love double peg grinds.

However, I hate Spanish. Well, online Spanish.

Vanity fare...

Today you get a good dose of me. I made Corey take some pics of me riding today and I like how a couple of these jibs turned out, so here we go. Also, there is a mirror picture of me as I tried to figure out if I got my sensor cleaned enough on this camera. I do not recommend doing this. It is a pain in the ass and in the end, you might wind up ruining the damn thing.

Sensor clean! Mirror, not so much!

Over the hip on an autumn day. The leaves holding on the the trees seems to be a metaphor for old men clinging to their youth. Maybe I read too much into that.

Once I clear the hip, I go right into this double peg grind. Every time.

I tried to figure out why I like riding so much while I was heading into work the other day. I mean, here I am, thirty-three years old and I still participate in an activity that is dominated by the young.

The answer...aesthetics. I just like the way a bike looks. The way the clothes look. The way the photos look. I am sucked into it all. I plan on exploring in depth later on.

Just to show that I am not a narcissist...

Mica is watching "Final Destination: 3"...

Fuck.
